Frequently Asked Questions

Your reservation includes a timed‑entry reservation so you bypass the individual line and enter via the appropriate access for guided groups. Like all visitors, you’ll still pass a standard security check at the entrance—this is required by the museum. Please note you will need to enter with your guide and the group, the tickets cannot be separated from the timed group reservation.

You’ll receive clear meeting‑point instructions and a map on your voucher. We meet at the Arc du Carrousel, outside, opposite the glass pyramid. Look for our coordinator with a Memories France badge on an orange lanyard and either an orange cap or an orange flag, and please arrive 15 minutes early. The meeting point always stays the same however there may sometimes be construction work around it. In that case we will inform you (call you and/or Whatsapp you) to specify the whereabouts of your guide (usually only a few meters away).

Our guide chooses the best entrance for the group and timeslot (often Passage Richelieu or Carrousel—both are designated for groups) so we move efficiently. If conditions change, we adapt on the spot

If you’re running late or can’t find us, call the number on your voucher—we’ll do our best to help. We will also try and contact you. Please note that we have timed entry, we must not be late to enter or we risk losing our time slot, so our tours must depart on time. Our coordination staff are on hand to try and help late arrivals catch up to the group, but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to do this. Please allow extra time to arrive at the meeting point in case you get held up on the way.

If you are running late, please call us on the number on your voucher, we will contact our coordinator and try and help you catch up with the group. If you miss them and they have already entered the museum with the other guests, it’s not possible for you to join them. The tickets are special reserved entry tickets, all guests must enter with the guide at our designated entry time. They are not valid for individual use.

The guided portion is 2 hours. After the tour, you’re welcome to stay and keep exploring the museum on your own for 3 hours after the end of the tour. (Note: once you exit the museum, re‑entry isn’t allowed on the same ticket.)

Our “must‑sees” route takes you to the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, Winged Victory of Samothrace, Napoleon’s coronation and other highlights—efficiently and with context. Galleries can be busy; your guide knows the best vantage points and timings.

Our shared groups are kept comfortable (site list shows 1–20 people) and we provide headsets when needed so you never miss a word. Prefer something even more intimate? We also offer a semi‑private (6 max) and private option.

Yes—families are very welcome! Please reserve a place for every participant, including children, as they count toward the group size and timed entry. (Under‑18s enjoy free museum admission, but still need a booked ticket and timeslot.)

The Louvre offers elevators, step‑free routes, wheelchairs, strollers, and folding stools on loan (free with ID). However these routes are not compatible with the route that the group tours take, and for this reason we recommend that wheelchair users book a semi-private or private tour. Please note that on the semi-private tours wheelchair users will need to be accompanied. The guide will not be able to take charge of guests who cannot take the stairs as the elevators are sometimes far away from the stairs and the group will need to separate.
Front‑worn baby carriers are allowed; back carriers are not.

Travel light. Items over 55 × 35 × 20 cm aren’t permitted in galleries; free self‑service lockers are available under the Pyramid for smaller items (same‑day pickup required). Suitcases and large bags are not allowed inside the museum.

Personal photos and videos are allowed in the permanent collections—but no flash, selfie sticks, lighting, or tripods.

Wear comfortable shoes—the Louvre is vast. Galleries can be warm or cool depending on the season; a light layer helps. Water is fine away from artworks; no food in the exhibition rooms.

Sometimes. Make sure you have it with you just in case, even though it is unlikely they will ask for it.

You can change your booking up to 24 hours before your tour departure time. If you booked directly with us, use the Manage My Booking section in the footer of our website. If you booked on one of our partner platforms, please contact them to make the change.

We offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before your tour’s departure. Inside 24 hours, tickets are locked to your timeslot and aren’t refundable. If you need to cancel within 24 hours we recommend that you check with your travel insurer. If the museum unexpectedly closes, we will do all we can to rebook you, and if we are unable to, you will be refunded.

Tips aren’t included and are entirely optional—always appreciated if you enjoyed the experience.

We’d love to hear your feedback if you enjoyed your tour. We share all reviews with our guides, and they truly appreciate hearing that you had a great time — it means a lot to all of us. Your comments also help other travelers discover our tours and support our small local team.

If you booked through one of our partner platforms, they’ll send you a review link after your tour. You’re also welcome to leave a review on our TripAdvisor or Google pages. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience — we really appreciate it!
